Hardwood's Natural Facts
The patterns and color variations created in a living tree are like all of nature - never repeated. Naturally occurring wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, knots, and variations in grain and color, are not considered defects. Also, species, age, character and exposure to sunlight may cause new or replacement flooring to differ from existing flooring or samples. Because hardwood flooring is a natural product, it will expand and contract due to seasonal moisture level changes. All wood flooring will undergo natural color changes due to the effects of sunlight and/or Ultraviolet light.

Somerset's ¾" thick solid hardwood flooring is manufactured in Somerset, Kentucky, in the heart of Appalachian timberlands. Appalachian hardwoods are prized for their exceptional quality and beauty. Whether your decorating tastes are traditional or ultra-modern, one of Somerset's flooring styles will complement your room beautifully, and will add immeasurable value to your home.

Tiger WoodTiger Wood
One of the most exotic tropical species is known as Tiger Wood, a name that underscores its dramatic, contrasting color scheme. The color is a mix of deep red and brown, often with dark streaks and striations that give it a unique look that some compare to rosewood. The high density of Tiger Wood is accompanied by equally high strength values. The wood has a natural luster, and is a great addition to almost any decorating theme. You get a beautiful hardwood floor, with a touch of tropical excitement.

American CherryAmerican Cherry
One type of hardwood that makes for a wonderful natural floor is cherry. This hardwood species has been used in many ways. American cherry, a member of the rose family, has a fine grain and close texture that gives any room a naturally elegant and rich look. A great benefit of American cherry floors is that they darken with age and exposure to light, adding to the luster and tradition of a room through the years.
